January 10, 2025: Jessica Colpitts HOPE, Moncton Provincial Court, Dog Bite Hearing (Local Governance Act). Two-year court order imposed to control dog.
January 22, 2025: Larissa Marie SCOTT, Bathurst Provincial Court, Abandoning an Animal (SPCA Act). Failed to appear for trial, charge withdrawn.
February 5, 2025: Michael Scott PETERSON, Moncton Provincial Court. Fail to Provide Care (Criminal Code). Pled guilty and other Criminal Code charges were withdrawn. Sentencing adjourned to April 2, 2025, at which time he received a six-month supervised Conditional Sentence Order, including two months on house arrest, 15 months Probation Order and Prohibition Order.
February 24, 2025: Marie-Claude COMEAU, Bathurst Provincial Court. Allow Dog to Run at Large (Local Governance Act). Pled not guilty, trial set for June 27, 2025. On the trial date, she changed her plea to guilty, was fined $350 + $70 victim fine surcharge, and a 12-month Probation Order.
March 4, 2025: Connie V. M. LOCKHART, Saint John Provincial Court, Cause Unnecessary Pain, Suffering or Injury; Fail to Provide Food, Water and/or Care (Criminal Code and SPCA Act). Failed to appear for trial and again on April 14, 2025, warrants of arrest issued. On September 29, 2025, she pled guilty to the SPCA Act offence and the C.C. charge was withdrawn. Minimum fine waived, but 10-year Prohibition Order imposed.
March 5, 2025: Young person “H.F.”, Moncton Youth Court, Cause Unnecessary Pain, Suffering or Injury to an Animal (Criminal Code). Completed youth diversion program, so the charge was withdrawn.
March 17, 2025: Elizabeth Louise LEMMER-BENEDIX and Sean BENEDIX, Moncton Provincial Court, Allow Dog to Run at Large (Local Governance Act). Both parties failed to appear in court, found guilty at ex parte trial. Court issued summons for them to appear for sentencing and on April 11, 2025, Sean was fined $140.
March 26, 2025: Johnathan AUGUSTINE, Elsipogtog Court. Fail to Provide Food, Water, Shelter and/or Care (SPCA Act) Pled Guilty, fined $800 + $160 victim fine surcharge, Prohibition Order for three years, Restitution Order of $2347.50.
April 22, 2025: Hillary Ann SABATTIS. Fredericton Provincial Court. Pled guilty to Obstruct or Hinder Animal Protection Officer (SPCA Act). Fined $172.50, one-year Probation Order with conditions including pay restitution of $2,093.71, five-year Prohibition Order but may keep two dogs.
April 22, 2025: Alexander Troy Terrance MANNETT, Saint John Provincial Court. Fail to Provide Food, Water, Shelter and/or Care (SPCA Act). Pled guilty, fined $500 and two-year Prohibition Order from owning any new animals.
April 23, 2025: Melissa Ann LEWIS and Levi LEWIS, Moncton Provincial Court. Cause Unnecessary Pain, Suffering or Injury; Fail to Provide Food, Water, Shelter and Care (Criminal Code and SPCA Act) . Both changed their pleas to guilty, sentencing adjourned to May 21, 2025. At sentencing, Levi was fined $1000 + $200 victim fine surcharge, a one-year Prohibition Order, and a six-month Probation Order to pay restitution of $565.55. Melissa received the same disposition except her Prohibition Order is for ten years.
April 28, 2025: Cheyanne Marion LABILLOIS, Campbellton Provincial Court, Fail to Provide Food and/or Water (SPCA Act). Pled guilty and a Criminal Code charge was withdrawn. Fined $500, five-yr Prohibition Order, and a 12-month Probation Order to pay restitution of $1189.50.
May 22, 2025: Helen Leola COLFORD, Fredericton Provincial Court. Allow Dog to Run at Large (Local Governance Act). Pled guilty and a second charge under the LGAct was withdrawn. Fined $640 + $128 victim fine surcharge.
June 23, 2025: Abdourahim Ben BAH and Mozahia NGARDINGA, Bathurst Provincial Court. Fail to Provide Food, Water and/or Care (SPCA Act). Both pled not guilty and their trial was set for November 17, 2025. On the trial date, they changed their pleas to guilty and other Criminal Code charges were withdrawn. Each defendant received a $500 fine, a 10-year Prohibition Order and a 12-month Probation Order with a condition that each pays half of a total restitution of $1279.99.
July 21, 2025: Joan Elizabeth ROBERTSON and Joyce Ann ROBERTSON, Bathurst Provincial Court, Cause Unnecessary Pain, Suffering or Injury, Fail to Provide Medical Care, Unsanitary Conditions (Criminal Code and SPCA Act). Both defendants pled not guilty and a trial date was set for December 17, 2025. On the trial date, both changed their pleas to guilty and their sentencing was set over to March 25, 2026.

July 23, 2025: Mitchell Charlie SCHRIVER, Fredericton Provincial Court. Fail to Provide Food and/or Care (SPCA Act). Pled guilty. Fined $500, five-year Prohibition Order, one-year Probation Order and to pay restitution of $847.07.
August 5, 2025: Edmundston Provincial Court, Mindy June PELLETIER. Allow Dog at Large, Fail to Register Dog (Local Governance Act). Pled guilty to both counts, but the court waived the minimum fines.
September 12, 2025: Sabrina Beatrice YERXA, Fredericton Provincial Court. Allow Dog to Run at Large (Local Governance Act). Pled guilty and a second charge under the LGAct was withdrawn. Fined $140.
October 30, 2025: Caroline McGRAW, Moncton Provincial Court, Fail to Provide Food, Water, Shelter and/or Care (Criminal Code and SPCA Act). Case resolved by alternative measures, i.e. paid restitution of $9,553.91 and entered into a common law Peace Bond with a five-yr prohibition of farm animals.
November 19, 2025: Esther SEPULVEVA, Saint John Provincial Court. Fail to Provide Food, Water and/or Care (SPCA Act). Pled guilty. Minimum fine waived, five-year Prohibition Order and one-year Probation Order with a condition to pay restitution of $1507.
